So after telling myself for years that I could never, ever get to B1 standard, I got 84.5% on the exam!!! And here is the crucial thing: Michael has changed my way of learning languages for life. I now have a system in which I can continue to learn German, not as a rush to the next exam (although goals are good!), but as a life long learning process which I enjoy. Yes.actually enjoy learning German - who would have thought that was possible?! - Tammy Furey. I've been learning German on and off for a couple of years now. This is an OK torrent but it is FILLED with junk that will do nothing but harm your long-term prospects. However, admist this see of garbage are a couple of gems, and trust me, you ONLY need a couple gems. A couple textbooks, not 100 fluent-in-3-month audio courses. Let me list the gems that struck out to me: 1) Genki Series (in 'textbooks') 2) A Dictionary of Basic Japanese Grammar (in 'grammar') (also check out Intermediate and Advanced) 3) Minna no Nihongo (in 'audio' i think) 4) All of the light novels 5) Read Real Japanese (in 'readers') 6) Breaking into Japanese Literature (in 'readers') Beyond that, be sure to check out Tae Kim's grammar guide (online, free); Jisho (dictionary, online, free); and maybe imabi.net (online, free). I grabbed this for a friend wanting desperately to learn Japanese, as a surprise & threw it on my old laptop I was giving them.

It’s your tutor in a pocket. Individual - You’ll learn German at your own speed, unlike group courses where you either wait for others to catch up or constantly fear falling behind. Supportive - Ask Michael any question in his weekly group Q&A sessions. Michael had to undo years of anxiety at failing to actually learn the language, years of misunderstandings, frustrations and generally beating myself up.

I'm living in German for what I presume will be the rest of my life, so may I just thank you for this opportunity to perfect my German. For complete beginner, I would recommend completing the Michel Thomas courses before moving onto this torrent. I'm actually surprised that there are so many seeders. I'm perfecting my German as I have a German missus and am working in a German environment.

Aramaic is a group of Semitic languages with a 3,000-year history. It has been the language of administration of empires and the language of divine worship. It is the original language of large sections of the biblical books of Daniel and Ezra, and is the main language of the Babylonian Talmud. Aramaic remains a literary and liturgical language among Jews, Mandaeans and some Christians, and is still spoken by small isolated communities throughout its original area of influence. Syriac was originally a local Aramaic dialect in northern Mesopotamia. It was a major language among Christian communities in the Middle East and Central Asia before Arabic, the language of conquering Muslims from the Arabian Peninsula, became dominant.
